Even the most diehard shopper needs a break between shopping and a chance to rest their weary legs and refuel. With this in mind, take a break from your Buenos Aires shopping at one of these hotspots from ShopHop guide to our favourite places in the city for coffee, tea and treats
1) LAB - Humboldt 1542, Palermo Hollywood
With a wide range of coffee beans and brewing methods, the name LAB proves itself in the very scientific way that things are done here. With a chic two-floor wooden interior, LAB is one of the best places to get you coffee fix when exploring the independent boutiques and hidden showrooms around the streets of Palermo Hollywood, and their cold brews are perfect for warm sunny days.
2) Full City Coffee House - Thames 1535
This comfy, laidback coffee house, owned by a lovely British-Colombian couple, is a great place to stop for a cafecito whilst doing the rounds in Palermo Soho. Their sweet 20-hour cold brewed coffee is a must-try, and we also like the Colombian breakfast.
3) Coffee Town - Bolivar 976, San Telmo
Coffee Town is your go-to spot for a good coffee to go in San Telmo. And it's right in the heart of the hustle and bustle of the indoor San Telmo market. Their staff are friendly and their coffee selection is wide, and if you do fancy a quick sit down and a bite to eat, there is a Coffee Town seating area about 30ft away from the main stand.
4) Florencio Bistro & Patisserie - Francisco de Vittoria 2363, Recoleta
Recoleta boasts some of the best places to shop in BA, and tucked away on a quiet street only a few minutes from the cemetery, Florencio is the perfect little spot to grab a light lunch, tea or coffee and work out what's next on your Buenos Aires shopping list.
5) Tealosophy - Gorriti 4865, Palermo Viejo
Hidden down a quaint alley off Gorriti together with luxe homewares gallery Paul, Tealosophy is the perfect place to take a quiet breather. As the name suggests, they like their tea, and they boast a whole host of exotic blends for you to try.
6) Editor Market cafe - Corrientes 503, Microcentro
The cool little cafe on the ground floor of the brand spanking new department store Editor Market in Buenos Aires serves up freshly-brewed coffee and healthy sandwiches and salads, whether you're checking out all nine floors of this uber chic concept store or braving the crowds and shops around Microcentro this pace is perfect for resting your feet.
