Buenos Aires Fashion Week returns this week to reassure us that springtime is not far off and, more importantly, to point you in the right direction for your spring-summer 2016-17 wardrobe. If you don’t have a phobia of crowds or an aversion to unnecessarily long lines, then you can head on down to La Rural from Tuesday (August 9th) until Friday (the 12th), catch some of the catwalk action and leave feeling inspired for your Buenos Aires shopping. Entry is open to all, and FREE, but get there early as you can only secure tickets from La Rural on the same day you attend.
To get a preview of what’s in store, we caught up with a few Buenos Aires designers during their last minute preparations.
Nous Etudions
When: Wednesday August 10, 11am (Cine Atlas, Alcorta Shopping Mall)
Edgy Argentine fashion label Nous is headed by designer Romina Cardillo, who previously worked with long-standing Buenos Aires designer Maria Vazquez. The fashion house only works with animal-free materials (no Argentine leather here) and take a very visual and vocal approach to fashion, speaking out on social issues through their tough but feminine collections.
